Beautiful Beach Wedding

This was such a beautiful wedding!! Sure the people were dressed to kill, the decor was to die for, the location was exquisite but what truly made this so memorable and heartwarming was the LOVE that this BEAUTIFUL couple share. William is such a super nice guy, the best friend we all need and Stephanie is such a gentle spirit that frees those in her presence. Thanks sharing your fabulous day, AND thanks to Jill Higgins (www.jillhiggins.com) for the invite! I feel very privileged.

Here we started at the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church down on King Street. It is located next to the Francis Marion, where the wedding party got prepared and the reception would be held.

It was my honor to escort this stylin' guy, one that 'Dad' is truly proud of, over to the church to meet his lovely bride.

This picture needs no explanation, it states itself!

William could not take his eyes off Stephanie, with good reason, she is stunning.

TOO Sweet!

I am so happy for this couple!

After the special time spent over at the St. Matthew's Church, we headed over to Sullivan's Island, station road #18. It is a great location that has lots of beach and a lighthouse. And the day could not have been prettier!

Here comes the bride! Looking tickled pink!

Stephanie beaming with joy.

First stroll on the beach as the new Mr. and Mrs. William Poteet.

"William, this is the one that you asked me to get for you! I KNOW you will LOVE it!"

This cake was as good as it looks!!! So Yum! Tiramisu!

First dance.

I already told William that he has two very pretty sisters! But oh my Gosh, can they DANCE! (please post the name of this dance so I can learn it) It was such a cool dance, very captivating!

AND look at this Sister! She knows how to boogie and get down!!!

William and Stephanie in what appears to just maybe the last dance of the night.
CONGRATULATIONS YOU TWO!!!!!!!! HAPPY LOVIN'!!!!!!!!!

Beach Portraits of the Hamilton Family

I had the awesome privilege of taking some Beach Portraits for the Hamilton Family. Richard and Sandy have three beautiful daughters. You can tell that they are proud of their family and they have all the reasons in the world to be. Each of their girls has given them grandchildren to spoil. They don't have any signs of being spoiled, they were all so well behaved. You all look so Great!!!

I just love this one with how the sun is beaming from behind them! Really cool!

Here is Richard and Sandy!!! Looking sharp!!!

You can see where their daughters got their good looks! This photograph makes me want to get a portrait taken with my mama and my two sisters!

Here is one of the daughters with her husband. You both are looking Great!

This family is picture perfect!! If the little girl looks familiar it is the gorgeous Lexi that I photographed a few weeks back. You will soon be seeing more of this family. Gina wants a Mom & Daughter session and also one of Evan, her son. He is a golfer, so maybe we will hit the greens. I can't wait!!

This is the middle sister with her hubby. Does he look like he might be trouble? Nah! Great Couple!!

Last BUT NOT least, the baby sister and her family. I know that to be true, I am a baby too. What a good looking family you've got!

Meet Shara Lana!!!!

I finally have a picture of myself to use for business purposes thanks to Jill Higgins. I am usually pretty shy on that end of the camera but I think Jill did a great job of making me look my best! Thanks Jill!!!

Senior Pics for Tori

Charleston is Amazing. It is like a maze of cobblestone roads and allies. Around every corner there is a surprise. We, Jill and I, went downtown a few weeks back to get some Senior Pics for a beautiful girl named Tori. We had a lot of fun finding spots to shoot that were full of character. I was able to grab a few shots when I wasn't fighting the reflector. A reflector is a tool that photographers use to bounce light onto a subject and let me tell you, those beautiful allies and roads turn into wind tunnels! It is like fighting a bear sometimes holding that big reflector. But good news, no one was injured and Tori got some stunning shots that will help her to remember this milestone in her vibrant life. Best of luck to you Tori!

The Langsam's LOVE the beach and each other!!!!!

This is a great family that has a huge passion for the beach!! Before we got started, the kids were geared up for the beach but I was able to settle them long enough to get a shot or two in.

Miss Ema wanted to rest in the cool soft clover which smelt so sweet. I think she looks extra sweet.

It wasn't till I got them down to the beach that I learned where that passion really comes from, DAD!!! It was a true adventure for me!! I learned so much! There was a lot of shells, coral, jelly fish, and tons of other stuff that had washed up on the beach that day and I will not begin to try to explain them all BUT OH COULD DAD! He holds a degree in it!!!!!! Here they are examining a shell of a horseshoe crab.

Can you tell that Ema has a ton of LOVE for her Dad? I am sure she is a Daddy's girl too!

This is too cute. Little Andrew trying to take care of his Mom's wind blowing hair. I think he did a fantastic job!!! SHE looks GREAT Andrew!!

This is about the only 'DRY' picture that I have of Andrew!!! They were like at Disneyland but only better! There was no bridling them once they hit the sand, so Mom and Dad let them loose and did Andrew ever! He jumped right in with no hesitation!!! You can tell him and the ocean are close pals having spent many days together!

'Trying' to keep shirt dry!

"Oh Well!!! Why stay dry?"

Here, Ema, Miss Girlie Girl has No problem picking up a jellyfish!! This family is definitely in their element!!!

But she is still ALL GIRL!!! A Carolina Girl! What a sweetie!!

Mom loves her daughter, can't you just feel it!! She is the type Mom we all strive to be!!

Dunes West Wedding

This beautiful wedding took place on April 28th at Dunes West. The setting was filled with southern charm. The ceremony overlooked the marsh and was under a moss draped huge old oak. As you can see here, it doesn't get much more low country than this.

This southern mansion was also part of the scenery that everyone attending got to enjoy.

What an awesome day to have a wedding!! Blue sky's and cool breezes!! Could not have been planned better.

This is the magnificent JILL HIGGINS!!!!!! I caught her in action here performing her photographic magic!!! She is so kind to allow me to venture out with her on these dreamy weddings that she has booked. I will be forever grateful for her good nature. And oh my goodness, have I learned so much! Thanks so MUCH Jill!!!!

Judging by the smile on the groom's face, he is totally pleased with the beauty he sees in his bride. This is the first moment that Kyle saw Ashley in a new but all too sweet tradition that is taken place before the ceremony. It is such a tender priceless unforgettable moment for them to cherish forever.

Here Kyle and Ashley share some quite time by the water.

This is definitely one of my personal favorites of the day. I just love how Ashley's veil is lit up by the sun.

Ashley is truly radiant.

After the sun was beginning to set and the magic began to happen, I caught this of the bride and groom while in prayer and what is especially magical about it is how the moss formed a heart just above their heads.

Moments like this only come by once in a lifetime. What a tremendous privilege it is to be a photographer to be able to preserve these moments for them. They will be able to journey back to that time and relive it in their hearts every time they look back at their photographs.
